LOS ANGELES – The Light of the World congregation in East Los Angeles was host to a new COVID-19 vaccination site in order to raise awareness and encourage residents to sign up for their first dose on Sunday, April 18. The Los Angeles County Health Department administered vaccinations to community members as well as those who were invited by the county’s health care staff.
“We believe science to be a gift from God that helps us continue to grow and develop in society. We encourage everyone to go out and get vaccinated,” said the Light of the World spokesperson, Judith Sandoval.
The Light of the World congregations in states such as Georgia, Massachusetts, and Kentucky have also hosted COVID-19 vaccination sites in order to spread awareness and show support to the communities by accelerating the vaccination program.
