HOLY SUPPER CELEBRATED IN AUSTRALIA

The Holy Supper was celebrated once again in Sydney, Australia on February 12, 13 and 14.

The Holy Supper, celebrated by brethren from Australia, New Zealand and Hawaii in remembrance of the redeeming sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ, is the most important celebration of The Light of the World christian faith.

For the faithful of the Light of the World the Holy Supper is celebrated to commemorate the redeeming sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ and to reaffirm the calling to be light of the world by practicing Christian values and principles.

Holy Supper activities began on February 12th with three daily prayer services.

Visiting pastors through their sermons spoke of the great importance of the Holy Supper celebration in the Christian faith, they cited Luke 22:19 “And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” and John 6:35 “And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.”.

BAPTISM 

On February 13th in addition to three daily prayer services, baptisms in water in the name of Jesus Christ were held for new believers who wholeheartedly embraced the Christian faith.

 

The preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ was entrusted to His Apostles as it says in Mark 16:15-16 “And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.”.

COMMEMORATION OF THE HOLY SUPPER

At 5pm on the 14th of February the Holy Supper service began amidst reverent spirituality, reflection and fervor for the solemnity of the commemoration. The presiding pastor recalled the difficult sacrifice and suffering of our Lord Jesus Christ. Then the moment came to bless the
bread and wine, this was done through the Apostolic authority of the Apostle Naason Joaquin Garcia.

The Apostles of Jesuschrist received from Christ the charge to celebrate Holy Supper as it says in 1 Corinthians 11:23-24 “For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread;and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”
