Love is Manifested by Aiding Those in Need

Jan 1, 2021 | COMMUNITY OUTREACH, Solidarity

Congregations from The Light of the World provide humanitarian assistance at every opportunity and under any circumstance. This aid is not limited to natural disasters that can affect humanity in different ways. However, these events more urgently require assistance and support for affected areas.

In April 2020, a group of members from The Light of the World congregation of Caribe in Cabo San Lucas provided free meals to needy families and individuals that had been affected by the economic crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Seventy families in need were given aid. However, as the days went by the number increased to 420 meals per day.

These acts of solidarity are carried out by The Light of the World congregations on a continual basis in compliance with all health and safety guidelines such as safe social distancing, wearing face masks and applying hand sanitizer.

In addition to contributing their time and efforts, members of the Caribe congregation have also made food donations of meats, produce, bottled water, and other groceries. This act of charity was covered by the local newspaper by the name of La Tribuna.

Other community outreach activities continue to be carried out by The Light of the World congregations in a selfless and generous manner as taught by the Christian faith.
