The Holy Supper 2023 ended with resounding success. The most important religious event of the Light of the World exceeded expectations by far, surpassing the attendance of the congregants in the city of Guadalajara, Mexico.
Organization and logistics prior to the festivity
The organization of this celebration was coordinated in advance with the logistics of the different areas of the event, including budgets, Christian doctrine speakers, cultural events, lodging, Civil Protection actions, transportation, decoration, food, equipment, and supplies, among other activities developed by ministers and thousands of volunteers of the congregation.
Fraternal Hospitality
The religious event, which resumed after three years of postponement due to Covid-19, took place in several venues in the “Pearl of the West”. The Beautiful Province, Bethel and Master Aaron Joaquin neighborhoods hosted hundreds of thousands of congregants. Likewise, thousands of members also visited the other sub-venues of the celebration in the eastern part of the Guadalajara Metropolitan Area. There were also thousands who stayed at various hotels throughout the city.
Grand Turnout of Attendance
According to information from the Ministry of Reception and Lodging, as reported by several media outlets, the Holy Convocation gathered 550 thousand people from all the states of Mexico and ministers from all the countries where the Light of the World is present.

Welcoming Ceremony for Attending Delegations
On August 9, a welcoming ceremony was held for the attending delegations, faithful from all over Mexico, and representatives from the 62 countries where The Light of the World has a presence.
That day, the Beautiful Province temple, the Central Roundabout, the Doctor Samuel Joaquin Flores Avenue, and the streets that converge to the temple were full of faithful. The event of the reunion took place among expressions of joy, hugs, fraternal greetings, and congratulations.

Spiritual Counseling to Parishioners
From that day on, the activities of the Ministry of Orthodoxy of the Christian Doctrine began, with the preparation of several topics of moral and spiritual formation. The topics were presented in all the venues and sub-venues of the Holy Convocation, to reinforce the principles and values of the community members.
Baptisms, a demonstration of spiritual growth
On August 13, 2023, approximately 3,000 people were baptized in the Bethel neighborhood. The decision of each one of them was free and voluntary, without external pressures. Prior to their journey to Guadalajara, congregations throughout Mexico celebrated thousands of baptisms. However, during the celebration, and in response to the demand of thousands of people who wished to belong to this faith, baptisms were held in the Bethel neighborhood.
When the clock struck 4:00 p.m., the special worship service began. The festive atmosphere was undeniable inside and outside the church. Expressions of spiritual rejoicing were fervent and unanimous as the family of faith united again. The singing of the various state choral ensembles present at the festivity contributed significantly to intensifying the spirituality of the moment.
The climax of the event occurred when, shortly before the bread and wine were blessed by the authorized pastors, a voice was heard that the people of God immediately identified. It was the voice of the Apostle of Jesus Christ Naasón Joaquín García, who expressed through a telephone call: “I am not here and yet I am among you all; you do not see me, and yet you feel me in this wonderful fellowship”.
The unexpected call of approximately 15 minutes was enough to move those gathered who, at the end of the call, were united with God in a prolonged prayer, where the phrases of the brethren flowed fervently and inexpressibly towards the heights, of an open sky from which in turn descended all kinds of blessings.[/rt_accordion_style_item][/rt_accordion_style]
Afterwards, the bread and wine were blessed with apostolic authority, to be distributed to the congregation by the authorized ministers. It was at the moment when the wine was being distributed that a torrential rain descended upon the Holy Supper venues, fulfilling the word spoken by God’s Anointed One in his letter of July 2, 2023:
This outpouring of blessing further strengthened the faith and courage of all the brethren, who, after the farewell ceremony, left Guadalajara filled with joy, expressing what the Apostle of Jesus Christ proclaimed: “Who shall separate me from his love?”

El evento religioso, que se reanudó multitudinariamente luego de postergarse tres años por el Covid-19, tuvo lugar en varias sedes de la Perla de Occidente. Las colonias Hermosa Provincia, Bethel y Maestro Aarón Joaquín albergaron a cientos de miles de fieles, lo mismo que en las demás subsedes de la celebración en el oriente del Área Metropolitana de Guadalajara. Fueron miles también los que se hospedaron en diversos hoteles de la ciudad.
