The city of Buenos Aires, Argentina, one of the most cosmopolitan places in all of South America, is the host city for the commemoration of the Holy Supper of the Lord Jesus Christ. At exactly 8:30 a.m. on February 14, 2025, brethren gathered at the Scala Hotel to begin the Holy Convocation.
The presiding pastor inaugurated the Welcome Ceremony for all attendees and delegates from the regions where the gospel of Jesus Christ has been received in Argentina.
With great joy, members of the The Light of the World faith witnessed how God’s promise is fulfilled every day, reflected as the delegates of the congregations walked with their banners, displaying the name of provinces where they live, including Córdoba, Corrientes, Jujuy, Mendoza, Misiones, Neuquén, Salta, Tierra del Fuego, and Tucumán. Joining this procession were delegations from the province of Dorrego and from Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world, which will be participating in a Holy Convocation for the first time.
During the Welcome Ceremony, attendees enjoyed the melodious hymns sung by the choir, which adorned the venue and inspired hearts to give glory to God for His many blessings. In unison, everyone sang the hymn “Welcome,” while the family of faith embraced one another in a fraternal display of unity, celebrating their gathering to participate in and commemorate the Holy Supper—the sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Throughout the Holy Convocation, there will be biblical studies, moments of meditation, and culminating in the Holy Supper. As part of the event, a baptism ceremony was also held.
The Holy Supper has been celebrated without interruption for almost a century and has been held in all five continents of the world.
