March 9, 2025, the long-awaited and determined day for the celebration of the Holy Supper at the temple located in Montevideo, Uruguay. The solemn ceremony of the Holy Supper began as believers gathered with great joy, filled in an atmosphere of sublime spirituality. The choirs raised their beautiful voices in hymns of praise, while the faithful continually glorified the Creator during the Service of Praise to God. The special table was prepared with unleavened bread, and the wine stations (grape juice) were ready for distribution.
At the moment when the apostolic emissary prayed to bless the bread and wine, the deacons spread out to begin the distribution, ensuring all areas, including the temple courtyards, were reached, where a great multitude was gathered. As the deacons approached the attendees, they pronounced the glorious words of the Lord Jesus Christ:
“Take, eat; this is my body,” as they distributed the bread, and “…this is my blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many…” as they shared the wine. Both elements represent symbols of communion and the renewal of the eternal covenant, signifying the hope of resurrection and eternal life. Once all the attendees had participated, they continued glorifying God, reaffirming their bonds of fraternal love in full spiritual communion.
Before concluding the ceremony, a minister recited the biblical passage from John 17, which was heard with great devotion, recalling the sublime words of the Lord Jesus:
“And this is eternal life: that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent. I have glorified You on the earth; I have finished the work which You have given Me to do. And now, O Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was.”
At the end of the gathering, choral hymns adorned the conclusion of the grand event, and the attendees bid farewell with tears of joy and fraternal embraces, thus manifesting their firm promise to continue upholding Christian principles and values. Being a light to the world, with the steadfast commitment of spreading the message of spiritual salvation. Finally, the attendees united in a profound prayer of gratitude, expressing their heartfelt thanks to God for all the blessings received.
