With an embrace from afar, hundreds of thousands of households united with their brethren in faith in every continent to celebrate the Welcoming Ceremony of the Holy Supper 2021, which, for the second consecutive year and due to the pandemic, is being celebrated virtually.
A representative ceremony was broadcast to The Light of the World congregations through the digital platforms from the temple in Tapachula, Chiapas, a city located in the southern end of Mexico.
The ceremony consisted of an atmosphere of fraternity and multiculturalism as several video messages were broadcast from different parts of the world. The participants greeted each other from their countries of origin, waving flags of different nationalities, expressing their joy of participating at a distance of this great spiritual event.
At locations where health guidelines allow the reopening of temples, the attendance and celebration of religious services will be carried out within the parameters established by local health guidelines, limiting capacity to the percentages and schedules recommended by local governing authorities, thereby honoring one of the principles we have learned from the Apostle of Jesus Christ, that good Christians for God are good citizens for the world.
On August 14, the special service of Holy Supper will take place, a sacred event established by Jesus Christ, through which the members of The Light of the World commemorate the death and resurrection of the Lord, as well as the spiritual benefits that come with believing and practicing his teachings.
